Have you suffered a fracture or did you have surgery this month? If yes, read more!
I invite you to sign up for laser therapy in our Laser Lounge. We are offering daily multi-visit packages in December for post-surgery healing. Yes, you may visit more than once a day.
Laser Therapy Speeds Up the Healing Time
With the proper treatment plan, studies show that laser light therapy has been effective in accelerated healing. From my own experience, 10 years ago, I had a bunion, hammer toe and a Morton’s neuroma surgically removed off my left foot. The doc told me I would be off work 4 to 6 weeks. I was off 5 days!
What Is Low-Level Light Therapy?
Photobiomodulation or Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT) consists of the non-invasive application of a low power light source (laser or LED) to an injured area. LLLT is a non-invasive, quick and safe, non-pharmaceutical intervention with the purpose of:
- promoting tissue repair
- decreasing inflammation
- producing analgesia (relieving pain)
With the advantage of being non-invasive, the applications of PBM are broad:
- pain relief
- promote the recovery of tendon injuries
- promote the recover of nerve injuries
- osteoarthritis
- wound healing
- reduce the accumulation of fluid (edema)
Our office has a several different lasers I often use in combination to accelerate healing. If you have suffered a fracture or have had a recent surgery, Shorten your healing time like I did.
